How to Register

  • Find your correct age group below. (Practices are organized by age group/teams.)

  • Decide how many days/week you want to practice.

  • Make sure your USA Water Polo membership* is current (Membership link here)

You can pay upfront or in installments; we understand that water polo is an expensive sport and want to be as flexible as possible. When the RCWP spring session starts, you are welcome to go to any of the pools/practices that have your age group.

* USAWP offers three levels of membership: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Bronze is for athletes who plan to practice and play local games. Silver is for those who expect to play in tournaments. Gold is needed only by players who plan to compete at the Junior Olympics and/or with the Olympic Development Program.

DATES

RCWP PROGRAMS/PRACTICES

  • We offer programs for All Ages, from Splashball to high school during the winter session.

  • Practices are organized by age group/teams.

  • We want to be sure each RCWP team has enough time and space to consistently practice together as a team; this is very important for player and team development.

POOLS

  • This winter we have practices at Sand Point Country Club/SPCC (outdoor pool), Mercer Island Country Club/MICC (all deep outdoor pool w/bubble during winter), Overlake Golf & Country Club/OGCC (outdoor pool), and Mercerwood Shore Club/MSC (outdoor pool w/bubble during the winter).

  • We are VERY fortunate to have pools throughout the area, for our players, teams, families and coaches.  Pool time is extremely hard to come by, and we are trying to provide water polo opportunities for as many athletes and families as possible.

LEAGUE/TOURNAMENTS

  • This winter our youth and high school girls  will participate in the PNW Scrimmage League with teams from Washington, Oregon and Canada at Rogers Aquatic Center in Puyallup. Rogers is an indoor pool with plenty of seating for spectators. Scrimmage league games are on select Sundays in December, January and February.

  • PNW League dates are TBD

  • Athlete’s participating in the PNW league will have a small registration fee.

  • Tournaments will also have a separate registration fee.

REQUIREMENTS

  • ALL athletes need a current USA Water Polo membership link here. Bronze level is acceptable for now; you may always upgrade later. Please choose ‘Rain City Water Polo’ for club affiliation.

  • Athletes must be able to swim 25 yards.
