You have the option to pay upfront or in installments; we understand that water polo is an expensive sport and want to be as flexible as possible. When the RCWP spring session starts, you are welcome to go to any of the pools/practices that have your age group.

* USAWP offers three levels of membership: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Bronze is for athletes just planning to practice and play local games. Silver is for those athletes expecting to play in tournaments. Gold is needed only by those players planning to compete at Junior Olympics and/or with the Olympic Development Program.

RCWP PROGRAMS/PRACTICES

• The focus of the summer session is practicing and preparing for the Junior Olympic Qualifiers/Junior Olympics and other summer tournaments.  We aim to have teams for the 14u, 16u, and 18u for both girls and boys.

• Water polo players not attending Junior Olympics are welcome to participate.

• This year we are offering summer practice programs for 14 & Under, 16 & Under, 18 & Under. Note: Some 12u athletes will play up w/the 14u for summer tournaments and Junior Olympics; If interested, please reach out to Coach Meredith at meredith@raincitypolo.com to see if this would be appropriate for your athlete.

• Our programs for Splashball, 10 & Under and 12 & Under will return in the fall.

• Look for a separate email about the Seattle Summer Water Polo League (North, South & West Seattle) and Midlakes Water Polo (Eastside).  These programs run from late July to late August.

• May 13 - July 23, 2024 (HS girls start 5/28, after the completion of the HS season).

• Mercer Island Country Club (MICC) - Mid-May through mid-June

• Overlake Golf & Country Club (OL) - Mid-May through Junior Olympics

• Newport Hills Swim & Tennis Club (NH) North & South pools - Late May through Junior Olympics

REQUIREMENTS

• ALL athletes need a current USA Water Polo membership link here. 

• Athletes participating in Junior Olympics need a gold level membership, age verification, & athlete photo on their USAWP membership.

• Athletes participating in other non-JO tournaments need a bronze membership & athlete photo on their USAWP membership.

• Payment plans - You have the option to pay for the summer water polo session in one payment upfront OR installments. 

• If you need financial aid, you may apply for a scholarship.  We understand that water polo is an expensive sport!  RCWP has money set aside for financial aid.  We want our RC athletes to be able to participate. To apply for aid, email registrar@raincitypolo.com and be sure to write Scholarship Request in the subject line. Then list the amount you are applying for and which session and program.  Expect a response in one week.

• Scrimmages vs local teams will be added to the schedule as they are set.  Many are no additional charge, but a few will have a small registration fee.

• Tournaments, Training Trips and/or Clinics have a separate registration fee.
